Anitta, Chris Martin, Gaby Amarantos, and Seu Jorge to perform at Global Citizen Festival: Amazonia.
On November 1, 2025, history unfolds in the heart of the Amazon. As world leaders meet at COP30 in Belém, Brazil, Global Citizen will launch Global Citizen Festival: Amazonia, the world’s first impact concert set in the Amazon.
Global Citizen Festival: Amazonia is the culminating moment in Global Citizen’s Protect the Amazon campaign — a year of action to address the most pressing effects of the climate crisis. The concert will feature Brazilian superstars Anitta, Gaby Amarantos, and Seu Jorge as festival headliners. Speakers will include local indigenous leaders such as Chief Raoni Metuktire, and a special guest performance by Coldplay’s Chris Martin.
Setting a New Standard for Sustainable Events
Global Citizen Festival: Amazonia is set to deliver one of the most environmentally conscious live events South America has ever seen. Through innovative sustainability initiatives and partnerships, Global Citizen is reducing our footprint across travel, power, and production. Here’s how.
- Battery-powered stage, recharged by solar: The festival’s main stage at the Mangueirão stadium will be powered by the mobile, solar rechargeable battery system used during Coldplay’s “Music of the Spheres” World Tour — marking its first-ever use in Brazil.
- Sustainable energy legacy project: The solar-powered battery system will stay in Brazil to serve as a renewable energy resource for future events throughout 2026, leaving behind a legacy of sustainable innovation.
Showpower is very pleased to see that the SmartGrid battery system that is currently being used on the Music of the Sphere’s World Tour will be deployed at the Global Citizen Festival: Amazonia.
