Live Nation Canada Marks Earth Week With New Sustainability Milestones at Rogers Stadium

Live Nation Canada is marking Earth Week by highlighting major progress underway at Rogers Stadium to reduce waste, cut single‑use plastics, and advance Green Nation, the company’s global commitment to lowering the environmental impact of live events.

These efforts are made possible through close collaboration with partners across the venue, including Liberty Oak View Group, who oversee food and beverage offerings and play a key role in implementing sustainable practices.

Last season, Live Nation’s partnership with Impact Cleaning transformed waste management operations at the stadium. A dedicated 24/7 sorting team diverted 65% of waste from landfill by separating materials into multiple streams, with a goal of reaching 70% diversion for the 2026 season.

Coldplay also played 4 Roger Stadium shows where all stages services were powered with Showpower’s SmartGrid battery system which was charged by the grid. This ensured that there were zero onsite emissions from power and energy making this the first time that any major stadium artist achieved this great accomplishment.
